Tragedy in Thailand

A tragedy had hit Thailand which had affected millions and millions of citizens. It is the biggest flood that had happened to this beautiful country in 50 years. This is nothing to joke about and it is a serious problem that everyone has to care and support.  Like me and most of my other friends, we are not affected, but out there they are people who need our support and love. My family and I have volunteered to help by giving 1 million baht as well as water bottles and mama cups to the flood charity created by the government. Not only me but my group of friends also want to show that they care, so we decided to attend "Wipe the Tide" which is where we invade Bangkok’s major traffic intersections to clean the windshields of cars in order to raise funds for flood victims and to help rebuilding devastated areas. We think this is a great activity to have fun and help at the same time where anyone can join. So if you want me to wash your cars, drive to central world where this event will occur! I hope you are all safe and dry and I hope to see everyone on Monday :).

  1. I really like your post and how you go join activities. I think you should give more information about the flood and further explain some part such as about the government charity. I don't think that the flood didn't affect you at all, but it just doesn't affect you directly. The school was also closed during of the flood.

  2. Tiger, I'm very pleased to hear your home was not affected by the floods. Even though your family was incredibly generous with a financial donation for flood relief, you didn't just sit back, right on! Did you have fun out there amongst all the cars? I enjoyed spending a few days volunteering with the Red Cross, but "Wipe the Tide" sounds like it was probably more fun. How much did your group raise? Thanks for sharing.
