The name of the tremendous school that have established more than 50 years in Thailand is "Ruamrudee International School", the union of hearts. Out of all the schools in Bangkok, this is a special one with the power and the heart of a phoenix which is also the schools symbol. What makes this school unique it's, it's wide range of facilities, sports, curriculum, and school sections. Lets start with the facilities. The school contains 2 soccer fields, the phoenix and the new renoved one, also 2 tennis courts and an olympic sized swimming pool, plus 4 covered gyms used for pe. Including all of that, did I mention we also had 1 canteen, 2 small shops and 1 cozy cafe restaurant. We also have a wide range and variety of sports which contains swimming, softball, volleyball, basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, and of course water polo which is led by my talented L.A and S.S teacher, Ms. Torie and these sports are seperated by u-11, u-13, u-15, Jv, and Varsity. To be even more special than other schools we have came up with an organized 4 day curriculum. Inside the curriculum we have 2 breaks and schools starts at 7:15 and ends at 2:35. So, after hearing about my wonderful school, how is yours compared to mine?

Thai Innovation
From reading the article "Thailand Floods" something that is really interesting to me is the flood alarm created by a piping and a ping pong ball which students from Mongkhut University had invented. This alarm works by, when the flood rises, it pushes the ping pong ball up upon to a certain point which results in an alarm. To me, this is very creative because the idea is so simple along with the materials used and it can turn into a useful and effecient tool. If I was to think of an invention to help the flood, I would invent a portable shower that uses flood water which goes through a process that could make it clean, is it even possible? Inventions that would help contribute to the flood must be made by simple materials because it would be easy for the people that are effected b the flood to make and of course, it has to be effecient in some way. Anyways, the best scenerio is to quickly end this flooding and let all citizens in Thailand live their normal life once again.

Tragedy in Thailand
A tragedy had hit Thailand which had affected millions and millions of citizens. It is the biggest flood that had happened to this beautiful country in 50 years. This is nothing to joke about and it is a serious problem that everyone has to care and support. Like me and most of my other friends, we are not affected, but out there they are people who need our support and love. My family and I have volunteered to help by giving 1 million baht as well as water bottles and mama cups to the flood charity created by the government. Not only me but my group of friends also want to show that they care, so we decided to attend "Wipe the Tide" which is where we invade Bangkok’s major traffic intersections to clean the windshields of cars in order to raise funds for flood victims and to help rebuilding devastated areas. We think this is a great activity to have fun and help at the same time where anyone can join. So if you want me to wash your cars, drive to central world where this event will occur! I hope you are all safe and dry and I hope to see everyone on Monday :).

Identity!
For me, identity means a unique thing that describes about an individual differently. We all have different looks, personality, and interest. For example, some people think that life is good, and some think that life is boring and dull. Another example is someone might like soccer and someone else could hate it. I also think that racism and bullying plays a big role in identity because people like to judge others by their looks and interest, which is completely wrong. Everyone should have the right to be themselves and do the things that they like. God created us differently so, all of us should appreciate and follow it.
What identity means to me? I think that identity should be respected and we should always follow it. For me, being different from others is good because if we are just the same as everyone else, the world would be boring. Thats why people have different haircuts, different clothes and different faces. Most of all, identity can also effect you in many ways. Identity effects you by changing what you think which friends and families can led to it. Personality also plays a role in it, for example some people might be overconfident and some are shy. As you can see, different identities can led to a big change in a person’s life whether is it emotional or physical.
Identity also plays a big role in my life by changing who I am and my lifestyle. Being mature is always what I’m trying to be by following my sister which is kind of my role model. Anyways, no matter how you change their should still be something inside you that really shows who you are. For example, my sister might change the way I think but in the end I’m the one who decided to follow it or not. Also, for me identity is a great way to find different interests in yourself and you might make new friends that has a similar way of thinking like you do. To conclude, we should always follow who we are and always try to be ourself which is a special thing on what makes you, you!

"Who Are You" project
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDMjrG5VTMk
Hey! My name is Tiger, I'm an 8th grader and I study at Ruamrudee International School Bangkok, Thailand. This is the first video that I ever made and it turned out pretty cool. The purpose of this video is for my "Who are you" La project. It's really hard and time consuming but overall it was fun and a really challenging experience for me!
Please Enjoy :D!

Metacognition
Things that I noticed when were doing the practice of metacognition was that I talked to myself without noticing it and it kinda helped me understand what I'm doing more. I also noticed that when I'm rushing, questions like "What animal should I do?" and "Will I finish it on time?" flashed into my mind and I could think better. The hard part is when I'm rushing it slows me down so I have to act fast before the time limit. Things I learned from my partner today was that she can think really fast and be creative at the same time. I think that this is a great practice for everyone and it also helps me as a student by making me think more and deeper. We should definitely do it again!
